1926: The Famous Gold Coast

The Famous Gold Coast

Looking north from the Drake Hotel in 1926 might be seen a portion of the famous ‘Gold Coast’ before the days of the double drive. The home of Edith Rockefeller McCormick is seen at the left, at Bellevue Place and the Oak Street Beach at the right.
