Brendecke Hospital

View of the Brendecke Hospital (a maternity home) with Mrs. Mary Brendecke sitting on a side porch toward the back of the building which was located at 1016 West Adams Street (formerly 279 West Adams Street) in the Near West Side community area of Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Emma Brendecke was accused of burning, in a stove, some infants born at the maternity home.
